Lockdown in India: Time for Mahabharat at home, defeat coronavirus

New Delhi : India is fighting against the coronavirus by staying at home and the government is trying to cater to all possible needs of people to keep their stay at home interesting.

After announcing the re-telecast of Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayana', DD National has announced the timings for another Indian mythological drama 'Mahabharat'; the re-telecast of both the serials will begin from Saturday.

"Happy to announce that DD Bharati will relay from tomorrow Saturday 28th March, the popular serial 'Mahabharat' at 12 noon and 7 pm every day: Prakash Javadekar, Information & Broadcasting Minister (file pic)," Javadekar tweeted.

B.R Chopra's Mahabharata had some of the popular faces of the television industry like Nitish Bhardwaj, Puneet Issar, Roopa Ganguly, Pankaj Dheer, Mukesh Khanna, Gajendra Chauhan amongst others.

India is currently under 21-day lockdown till April 14 in a bid to fight spreading coronavirus in the nation. Over 700 people have been reported infected and around 17 dead due to Covid 19 infection.
