New Delhi : A petition has been filed in Supreme Court to ban websites that run any kind of jokes on the members of Sikh community.

-
The Court on the other hand said Sikh community is known for their great sense of humour and many from them would also not in favour of this petition.
-
Judge also asked to recommend the case to a Sikh judge, for which petitioner refused and said such jokes only “affect the dignity” of her community.
-
"We are being ridiculed by these jokes. We have sacrificed a lot but when we go abroad we are ridiculed. I myself have suffered it. We want these to be stopped," the petitioner said.

A month time has been given to the petitioner before court proceeds further with the case.
