Auto thief undergoes plastic surgery to evade arrest

New Delhi : A 35-year-old man tried to evade arrest in auto theft case by doing plastic surgery but Delhi Police nabbed him and his two accomplices have been arrested in Delhi’s Kalkaji.

Kunal alias Tanuj had undergone plastic surgery thinking he would easily evade from the police, said an official.

A trap was laid off for his arrest after Delhi Police learned that he will be visiting Kalkaji on October 13. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Romil Baaniya said that his name was registered as Tanuj in police records. He had around 62 cases of stealing vehicles registered against him.

12 vehicles have been recovered so far post his arrest. The cops claim that he entered the world of crime to pay the expenses of his girl friends and him own.
