BSF kills seven Pakistani rangers, 1 terrorist in Kathua

Kathua : At least seven Pakistani rangers have been killed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in cross border firing across Line of Control in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir.

The Security Forces also neutralised a terrorist who was trying to infiltrate the Indian side of the border.

First firing was reported at 9:30 am on Friday; it lasted for 40 minutes and injured one Indian soldier. The second round of firing started at 12:15 pm at two forward Indian positions at Bobiyan in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, sources said.

No major casualty has been reported from the Indian side.

Incidents of cross border firing have taken a toll ever since India conducted surgical strikes across LoC to demolish terrorist base camps in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
