Delhi: Airport Metro fare slashed by 40 per cent, effective from Thursday
- DMRC on Thursday decided to slash the Airport Metro fare by 40 per cent
- The minimum fare of the route has also been reduced to Rs 20, which was earlier Rs 30
- The maximum fare has come down to Rs 100 than Rs 180
- The operating frequency of the trains have also been changed
- Instead of 15 minutes gap, trains will now be boarded in the interval of 10 minutes and 30 seconds
- The maximum speed of train has been increased to 80 KMPH from 70 KMPH
- As a result, travel time from New Delhi to IGI has come down to 19 minutes
- All the mentioned benefits will be effective from Thursday
