New Delhi : Amid rising case of coronavirus in the nation, the Union Health Ministry has updated its guidelines.

According to new guidelines, the people have been advised against using antibiotics unless there is a clinical suspicion of bacterial infection.

Meanwhile, doctors have been advised to examine the possibility of co-infection of COVID with other endemic infections and they have been also advised to avoid using steroids in the mild cases.

The change in guidelines have been announced after a sudden increase in the coronavirus cases in the nation. However, the cases of hospitalization have not grown significantly.

On Sunday, India reported more than 3800 new coronavirus cases, taking the total tell you of Corona virus cases to 4,47,22,605.

Recovery rate however stands at 98.77%, according to the Health ministry data.
