Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had decided to transfer the Hindu government officials to district headquarters in Kashmir amid reports of target killings in recent days. The decision comes to ensure maximum safety to Hindu officials.

The decision was taken at a high level meeting chaired by LG Manoj Sinha in Srinagar with both top officials of police and civil administration.

The government will also ensure maximum security for the Hindu officials and take care of their accommodations in Sri Nagar. 

Recently, a Hindu woman, identified as Rajni Bala, was shot dead by the terrorists in the Gopalpora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir a day earlier. On May 12, a revenue department employee, Rahul Bhat, was killed by militants in Budgam district.
