Mild tremors in Delhi-NCR region, north India

New Delhi : Mild tremors were felt in the Delhi-NCR and most part of north India after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Wednesday afternoon.

The epicentre of the earthquake has been located 35 kilometres south of Jarm, Afghanistan, as per the USGS.

Along with India, the earthquake has been felt in Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Eastern Uzbekistan.

In India, tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.

The tremor struck at 12.40 pm IST. 

First casualty report comes from Balochistan where one man has lost his life while several others have been injured in the natural disaster.
