PM Narendra Modi’s silent revolt against Pahalgam terror strike; avoids Pakistan enroute

New Delhi : A bunch of terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam, killing more than 28 people with AK-47 rifles; the attack has outraged the nation with everyone raising their voice demanding harsh punishment for the culprits. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who was on two-day visit to Saudi Arabia, cut short his visit and returned to India on Tuesday night.

While whole nation is condemning the attack, PM Shri Narendra Modi also hinted his revolt against this as he made his way back to India from Saudi Arabia.

The special Air India One Boeing 777 flight, which had overflown Pakistan en route to Jeddah on Tuesday, took an alternative route while flying back to India following the deadly incident in Pahalgam.

Earlier, on social media, PM Shri Narendra Modi condemned the attack and wrote: "I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest… Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice... they will not be spared."

The attack was also discussed during a meeting between Indian Ambassador Suhel Ajaz Khan and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. “The Crown Prince condemned the terror attack and offered any help to India in this regard,” Khan said.

Soon after returning to India, PM Shri Narendra Modi held a meeting with senior officials at the airport. While no official statement from the government officials has been released yet over the retaliation action, people have been waiting eagerly to see how India will respond to these innocent deaths.
