Jaipur : Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put an end on BJP's alleged attempt to topple the Congress government in Rajasthan. He has around 102 MLAs on his side and has claimed that he is ready to welcome back the rebel camp of MLAs, lead by Sachin Pilot.

"Modiji is the Prime Minister of the country. People of the country gave him the chance (to lead the country) two times. He made people clap, clang utensils...people trusted him - it is a big thing. He must put an end to the tamasha (drama) in Rajasthan. They have increased the rate of horse-trading before the assembly session. What is this drama?"

CM Ashok Gehlot is keen on proving the majority in the Assembly as soon as possible, but due to certain limitations of COVID-19 environment and guidelines, the session has been called on August 14.

After several demands and protests to hold the assembly session as soon as possible, CM Ashok Gehlot finally agreed to Governor Kalraj Mishra's condition of a 21-day notice; the house will be convened on August 14.

CM Ashok Gehlot, on the other hand, has claimed that he is sure of proving the majority in the house; it does not matter if the Assembly session is being held after 21 days or 31 days.
