Rita Singh receives recognition for her contribution to the Indian Community in Chicago
New Delhi : Mrs. Rita Singh, daughter of retired Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer and President’s Police Medal awardee Mr. J.B. Singh, has been recognised as one of the most respected Indian women in Chicago for her significant contributions to the Indian community in the United States.
Living in Chicago for the past 28 years, Mrs. Singh is the founder of several prominent community organisations, including the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), Chicago, and Women’s Empowerment (WE), Chicago. Over the years, she has played a key role in strengthening cultural ties between India and the Indian diaspora in North America. Her leadership has greatly contributed to community welfare, cultural preservation, and the empowerment of women.
