New Delhi : The Centre on Wednesday notified the Supreme Court that Enforcement Directorate has confiscated Rs 18,000 crores which were stolen by fugitive businessmen – Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

The solicitor general Tushar Mehta representing the Central government said that the money has been recovered.

The court also ordered to mention about such fugitive businessmen under PMLA.

The Centre submitted that the total number of such cases is 4,700 which is being investigated by the ED. The total amount in these cases is around 67,000 crores.
