New Delhi : The Aviation Turbine Fuel price in India have gone up to a record high with an increase of 5% in the retail price, with this it is now available at Rs 123.03 per litre. Only this year, since January 1, the prices have been increased by up to 50 per cent.

According to a report, 40 per cent of the total cost of airlines is of the jet fuel. With prices soaring across the nation, the burden will shift on the travelers in the form of increased ticket prices. On March 16, the jet fuel prices were hiked by the steepest hike of 18.3 per cent. Later on April 1, the ATF prices were again hiked by 2 per cent. On May 1, the prices were hiked by 3.22 per cent.

The fuel prices have gone up sharply amid the Ukraine-Russia war.
