Truth vs Reality: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's laugh over Pulwama terror attack

New Delhi : According to a claim made in a video post on Twitter by a user Ankur Singh, Congress general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was seen laughing as she addressed a press conference on Pulwama attack that martyred 40 CRPF personnel.

The message along with the video reads "Priyanka Vadra was laughing at press conference 😡😡 Such vultures"

With over 50K views and nearly 1000 retweets, the post had gone viral on social media. 

Truth: The video has been cropped in a manner that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra seems to be laughing at the event; however, no such thing happened during the press meet.

It is important to note that Singh is followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In reality, Vadra had cancelled her scheduled press conference in the wake of the attack. "In the wake of the unfortunate Pulwama attack, I don't think it is appropriate to talk (about) politics right now," she said.

She also offered her condolences to the families of the jawans who were killed in the attack.
