New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday evening met President Ram Nath Kovind, stakes claim to form the government.

In a meeting with NDA leaders, Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi pledged to “together start a journey to build new India with a new energy.”

“It is also clear we have to make coalition politics central no matter how strong one party gets,” said PM Narendra Modi at NDA meet.

NDA on Saturday named Narendra Modi as their leader for the prestigious post of Prime Minister of India.

Earlier in the day, President Ram Nath Kovind dissolved the 16th Lok Sabha, and asked PM Modi government to become the caretaker till new government takes over.

Bharatiya Janata Party received a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha Election with over 303 seats and 352 seats with their allies.
