Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, wife stopped at airport from flying abroad

Mumbai : Grounded airlines Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal and his wife Anita Goyal were stopped at an airport while they were trying to board an international flight from Mumbai to Dubai.

"The aircraft had pushed back for departure when it was called back by the Mumbai immigration team citing some issues with immigration clearance and the two passengers were asked to disembark," said sources.

According to the source quoted in a news report, another passenger, not related to the Goyals, was also disembarked from the flight due to medical problems.

Goyal had boarded the 3.35pm Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft in the afternoon after clearing immigration.

"The flight was further delayed as the airline had to unload the check-in bags of the passengers who were offloaded," the source added.
