New Delhi : Union Minister Anurag Thakur led Indian side walked the red carpet at 75th Cannes Film Festival today. India has been named the Country of Honour this year at the Marche Du Films (Cannes Film Market).

His office shared the pictures from the red carpet on social media. In the pictures, he can be seen accompanied with famous Bollywood stars like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, R Madhvan and others. Music maestro AR Rahman was also present at the event.

Anurag Thakur captioned the images on social media and wrote, "A historic moment as India 🇮🇳 the 1st ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche Du Films @Festival_Cannes gets set to manifest into the ‘content hub of the world and the preferred ‘post production hub’ for global film makers."

Cannes 2022 kick-started on Tuesday and will continue till May 28, 2022.
