New Delhi : ICC women cricket world cup is underway; England scored its first win in the tournament against India, keeping its hopes alive to qualify for next level.

With a disciplined cricket game, England team managed to bundle India out for 134 runs in 36.2 overs. In their chase, the English team managed to fetch the total in 31.2 overs with four wickets remaining.

With the victory England are now placed on the sixth spot.


England's first win in the tournament has kept their hopes for semi-finals alive. Their captain Knight fought well and scored a half century; she was unbeaten at 53 runs.

England will next face New Zealand and India will next face Australia on March 19.
