IPL 2018: Chris Gayle dedicates century to daughter on 2nd birthday

Mohali : After Shutting critics with a majestic century at an Indian Premier League (IPL) match against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday night, Chris Gayle dedicated his ton to the daughter Kris-Allyna Gayle as she turned 2 on Friday.

"This hundred is dedicated to my daughter. Tomorrow is her birthday," said Gayle.

He also shared a beautiful video with his daughter on the social media Instagram with a caption: "Happy birthday my love @krisallyna333 - 2nd birthday in India Daddy wish you many more."

Addressing a post-match conference, Gayle affirmed that he is always determined to play good cricket.

Gayle said: "I'm always determined. I always give it my all for whatever franchise I represent. I'm a 100 percent. Like I said, it's a new franchise. A lot of people might say that Chris has a lot to prove - he didn't get selected or wasn't picked early in the auction. I think Virender Sehwag has saved IPL by picking me. This is a brilliant start."

On asking how he is going to celebrate his hundred, he said, he will be doing the celebrations with his daughter as she turns 2 on Friday.
