Rohit Sharma rates Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the best captain Indian has seen

New Delhi : Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not been on the grounds for Team India for almost an year now, and with BCCI not renewing his contract this year, the worry turned deep for his fans. While there is a relief that he will be seen playing in the upcoming IPL season for Chennai Super Kings and Indian coach Ravi Shashtri has said that his return will be based upon his performance in the IPL. 

In the latest, Rohit Sharma has tagged him as the best captain India has got so far in the cricket. Showering praise on Mahendra Singh Dhoni he said that the wicketkeeper-batsman is "the most successful Indian captain" to have led the side as he has won all three major ICC trophies.

"MS Dhoni is the one who has been like that. It's in-born. It has helped him to make such good decisions on the field and now you see he is the most successful Indian captain with all three ICC trophies with him and many IPL titles as well," Rohit said in one of the episodes of the online chat show Curly Tales.

Talking about his traits which make him different from others, Rohit said he masters the art of staying clam and composed during tensed situations.

"He is the best captain India has seen and there's a reason behind it - which is being calm and composed under a situation," Rohit explained.

Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, has been ruled out of the ODI and Test series against New Zealand after he received a calf injury during the fifth T20I.
