Sydney : When someone reaches a milestone that is unexpected, he or she celebrates it in a way that the world watches. Something similar happened with veteran Australian batter David Warner, who ended his Test century drought by scoring a double ton in the second match of the series against South Africa on Tuesday. He didn’t just score a hundred, he scored a massive double ton off just 254 balls.

Soon after that he celebrated the landmark achievement in a way that he was left retired hurt.

David Warner was suffering from cramps even before he reached 200-run milestone, but after reaching the milestone he jumped in the air and his condition got worst. The opening batter was also spotted clutching his thighs as he sought medical attention. He was then escorted out of the ground.

By taking the rest on Day 2, it appears like he will return on the field on Day 3 and will continue scoring some more runs.

En route to three figures, the 36-year-old passed 8,000 Test runs -- the eighth Australian to do so -- after coming into the game under pressure after a lean run.
