Dr. K.A. Paul Demands Israeli PM Netanyahu Cease Attacks on Iran; Urges Major Resignations in Wake of Air India AI-171 Tragedy
New Delhi : Dr. K.A. Paul, renowned International Peace Maker and founder of the US-based Global Peace Initiative (GPI), has issued a strong appeal to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to immediately halt military operations against Iran, warning that continued aggression could trigger a global catastrophe.
Addressing the media at the Praja Shanti Party headquarters in Hyderabad, Dr. Paul stated, “Prime Minister Netanyahu is making a grave mistake by bombing Iran in the name of nuclear sites. This is not just an attack on Iran—it’s a provocation that risks drawing in Russia, China, and North Korea. It’s an invitation to World War III.”
As a former state guest of both Israel and Iran, Dr. Paul urged the Israeli leadership to exercise restraint and prioritize humanitarian concerns, especially regarding the situation in Gaza. “One million people in Gaza are being starved. This is unacceptable. God, history, and humanity will not forgive such actions,” he said.
In connection with the recent crash of Air India Flight AI-171 at Ahmedabad, Dr. Paul made a series of strong demands, citing the need for accountability and urgent reforms in India's aviation sector:
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi should tender his resignation, citing the BJP and RSS retirement age policy of 75 and the government’s inability to ensure aviation safety under his leadership.
• Home Minister Amit Shah should be entrusted with interim leadership, given his administrative experience.
• Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu must resign immediately due to lack of aviation expertise.
• Adani Group, which operates the Ahmedabad airport, should be held liable and must compensate each victim's family with at least ₹100 crore, pending the results of an impartial investigation.
• Ahmedabad runway must be extended to international standards, and unauthorized construction near the airport vicinity should be strictly prohibited.
Dr. Paul also highlighted infrastructure inadequacies, alleging poor ground handling and insufficient emergency response capabilities at the Ahmedabad airport, potentially contributing to the magnitude of the disaster.
“I have owned and operated aircrafts since 1991. Aviation is a highly complex sector. Inexperience and negligence at the highest levels cannot be overlooked. We demand transparency, accountability, and immediate action,” he emphasized.
Dr. Paul urged citizens to stay informed and demanded that the central government, aviation authorities, and private airport operators be held accountable for lapses that may costed hundreds of precious lives.
