Iraq crisis: 17 Indians evacuated from conflict zone, says MEA
- The Ministry of External Affairs of Tuesday said that 17 Indians have been evacuated from the conflict zone in Iraq with the help of local authorities.
- “We have been able to evacuate 17 more Indian nationals with help of local authorities. In the zone of conflict, there are limited number of Indian nationals,” Syed Akbaruddin said.
- On the abducted Indian nationals, Akbaruddin said that they remain in captivity but are not harmed and safe.
