Delhi : The Italian company Aprilia has teased a superbike on social media in advance of its international premiere on September 7, 2023. The RS440 is anticipated to have a ton of amenities, including the newest technologies like ride-by-wire, traction control, and cornering ABS. The Aprilia RS440 has been under cover development for a long, but there haven't been any recent updates on its development. Someone observed a test model of this forthcoming sports bike in a different nation a few months ago. A RS440 prototype was also recently spotted driving on Indian roads.

The new RS440 is anticipated to include a 440cc parallel-twin engine. The Aprilia RS440 would enable the Italian bikemaker fill a vacuum in its lineup and get access to the Indian market. Currently, 125cc and 160cc scooters are Aprilia's top selling items in India. For those who don't know, they import 660cc Aprilia motorcycles in restricted quantities as CKDs.

The Aprilia RS440's engine housing closely resembles the Aprilia RS660 and the Tuono 660 in terms of outward look. The bike appears to be well-balanced and has a mild lean angle in the company's photographs. The handlebars are moved back, which lessens the overall lean angle even if the foot pegs are located towards the rear.

The Aprilia RS440's design is remarkably similar to that of its older brothers, despite the fact that we anticipate a new engine and chassis. It has a big bike-like appearance because to its prominent fairing and large fuel tank. A three-headlight configuration, a big windscreen, trapezoidal rear-view mirrors, a robust engine cover, an elevated seat, and a raised tail section are just a few of the distinguishing features that it has that are taken from Aprilia bikes with more cargo space.

Hardware-wise, the RS440 most likely has a mono-shock in the back and an upside-down front fork. It will stop using a single ABS-equipped front and rear disc brake system. The motorcycle will be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels that may have road-friendly TVS Eurogrip tires on them. Sleek brake rotors, a powerful front brake caliper, and light alloy wheels are a few optional extras.

In comparison to its larger sibling, the next Aprilia RS440 will have a smaller engine. It is anticipated to have a 440cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a maximum output of 48bhp. This engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and quick-shifter for more seamless gear changes. The motorcycle's maximum speed was capped at about 180 km/h.
