Volvo C40 recharge electric SUV hits Indian roads, priced at Rs 61.25 lakh
Delhi : The C40 Recharge, the follow-up to the XC40 Recharge, is the second electric car from Volvo to be introduced in India. With a 78kWh battery that offers a 530 km range on a single charge and quick 27-minute charging to 80%, this electric SUV is equipped. It can reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds thanks to its 405bhp. Due to the fact that it is a coupe crossover, the C40 Recharge is also a little bit smaller than the XC40 Recharge.
The Volvo C40 Recharge, the well-known Swedish automaker's newest electric vehicle, has been released in the Indian market for an initial price of Rs 61.25 Lakh. The first few clients can take advantage of this launch price when they make reservations for the Volvo C40 Recharge starting tomorrow.
Following the success of the Volvo XC40 Recharge, the Volvo C40 Recharge is also the second Volvo electric car to be introduced in India. The electric crossover C40 Recharge, which was launched earlier in June, will fight in a market that is expanding quickly and includes competitors like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and its own sibling, the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
Range and Battery
Two electric motors are mated to a powerful 78kWh battery in the Volvo C40 Recharge. With WLTP certification, Volvo boasts an amazing 530 km of range on a single charge. The battery can also be charged from 10% to 80% in just 27 minutes using a 150kW DC fast charger.
Performance
With its dual electric motors and 78kWh battery, the C40 Recharge has a potent performance, producing 405bhp and 660Nm of torque. It outperforms its sibling, the XC40 Recharge, by 0.2 seconds, reaching 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
Interior
The C40 Recharge's interior is decorated in the classic Volvo style, which combines simplicity and luxury. A large 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system are both featured on the main dashboard. The inside features eco-friendly vegan materials and ventilated seats for both the driver and the passenger. A panoramic sunroof, a sophisticated ADAS safety package, wireless charging, a single-pedal drive, and a 360-degree camera system are further noteworthy interior features.
Dimensions and available colors Although the C40's outward look may mirror that of the XC40 Recharge, due to its crossover construction, it has a somewhat lower structural footprint. The C40 Recharge is 4440mm long, 1910mm wide (including mirrors), and 1591mm tall. Thunder Grey, Fusion Red, Black Stone, Fjord Blue, Silver Down, Crystal White, Onyx Black, and Sage Green are some of the eight various color choices that are offered.
