Delhi : The ZX-4R is about to hit the Indian market thanks to Kawasaki India. The ZX-4R will debut on September 11th and will be the brand's most affordable four-cylinder motorcycle in India. It's also anticipated that Kawasaki will only offer the ZX-4R in one trim, the base model. The SE and R version is therefore not anticipated to reach the Indian market.

The ZXR400, which was sold back in 1989, was spiritually succeeded by the ZX-4R. Stricter emission standards, however, led to its discontinuation. In the global market, the ZX-4R is already available for purchase. Additionally, the only manufacturer manufacturing in-line four-cylinder motorcycles with displacements of 250 and 400 cc is Kawasaki.

A 399 cc four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 75 horsepower at 14,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 39 Nm at 13,000 rpm powers the ZX-4R. It has a slipper clutch and a quickshifter, and it is mated to a 6-speed transmission. With RAM air intake, the power output is raised to 78 bhp.

Four riding modes—Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (customizable)—are available on the Kawasaki ZX-4R. These modes may be selected using the 4.3-inch TFT screen, which features Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and notification updates.

Kawasaki utilizes a trellis frame with 37 mm upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock with preload adjustment in the back. At the front, there are 290 mm disc brakes with 4-piston dual-piston calipers, while at the back, there is a 220 mm disc with a single-piston caliper.

The ZX-4R shares a lot of similarities with the larger Ninja motorcycles in terms of appearance. It has 17-inch alloy wheels with 120/70 section front and 160/60 section rear tires, as well as a split LED headlamp.
