Pixel 8 series stuns: Google confirms watch and buds release on 4 October

Delhi : Google is planning to release the Pixel 8 series on October 4, which includes the regular Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The California-based tech company has made public the cellphones' design in advance of their formal launch. Google has also made mention of additional products that would also be on sale that day. These include a fresh pair of earbuds and a new timepiece, perhaps the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Buds Pro. Along with the wristwatch and headphones, the firm has also revealed the pre-order sale date for its forthcoming Pixel 8 series. 

Sneak peak of accessories at event

Google has provided a sneak preview of the items that will go on sale on October 4 weeks before the launch event. In addition to the Pixel 8 series, Made by Google (@madebygoogle) teased the October 4 release of the Pixel Watch 2 and the new Pixel Buds Pro. As shown in the video at the event, the smartwatch and earbuds will debut in at least one colour option: Porcelain.

Look revealed of Pixel 8 at teaser

The official look of the forthcoming Pixel 8 series was revealed by Made by Google in yet another teaser film. The Pixel 8 Pro is seen sporting a triple back camera configuration, while the Pixel 8 might be spotted holding a twin camera rear device. The video suggests that the Pixel 8 Pro will at least be available in Porcelain White. On the other hand, it is certain that the Pixel 8 will come in Pink as well as other colour options.

The Google also revealed in the same video that pre-orders for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones will open on October 4. On October 4, the launch event is slated to begin at 10am ET (7.30pm IST). They had not yet announced the precise release date for the smartphones and other gadgets in the Pixel 8 series. They are anticipated to make their debut in the first part of October 2023.
