Delhi : An official statement on the recent controversy involving the on-road costs of the recently introduced Triumph Speed 400 has been issued by Triumph Motorcycles India and Bajaj Auto. The two manufacturers claimed in the statement that no on-road price recommendations had been made public. The business also stated that state-specific on-road and ex-showroom rates would be disclosed closer to delivery.

We at Bajaj Auto Ltd. are dedicated to serving our clients and uphold the strictest standards of transparency in all areas, including pricing. We strongly advise all of our clients and the media to disregard the rumours circulating on various public and social media platforms about the new Triumph Speed 400's on-road price.

On-road pricing parameters have not been disclosed by the corporation, although they would be consistent with those for its other products and with industry standards. This will be released by July 10th. For the first 10,000 clients, the Speed 400 is being offered for an ex-showroom price of INR 2.23 lakh in Delhi; after that, it will return to its regular price of INR 2.33 lakh. Closer to delivery, state-specific ex-showroom and on-road pricing will be disclosed.

Bajaj Auto will produce the new Triumph Speed 400 at its facility in Maharashtra, India. This has made it possible for the British company to price the product affordably. The new Speed 400 has a neo-retro aesthetic inspired by Triumph products with larger displacements like the Speed Twin 900 and Speed Twin 1200. The 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of this sub-500cc motorbike from the British manufacturer produces a maximum of 39.5bhp at 8000 rpm and a maximum of 37.5Nm at 6,500 rpm. In the Indian market, this motorbike competes with models like the Harley-Davidson X440, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Jawa 42, and Yezdi Roadster.
