Delhi : Another Multistrada has been introduced by Ducati to its lineup. This time, it's the Multistrada lineup's sportiest model, the V4 RS. The Multistrada V4 takes inspiration from the sportier Ducatis in the Panigale and Streetfighter series, even though it is an adventure touring bike. It is a beast on racetracks thanks to major mechanical enhancements over the ordinary Multistrada.

The Ducati Multistrada V4 RS is the superbike's heart!

The only model in the Multistrada lineup, the V4 RS, is powered by a 1,103cc V4 desmodromic engine that is derived from the Desmosedici Stradale V4 unit. This engine produces 180 bhp and 119 Nm of peak torque, which is 11 bhp more but 7 Nm less than the Granturismo V4 engine.

This engine, which is available in the Streetfighter and Panigale models, has Ducati's STM Evo-SBK dry clutch and a six-speed gearbox. Additionally, a bi-directional quickshifter is included as standard.

Improved hardware on the Ducati Multistrada V4 RS

The desmodromic engine of the new Multistrada performs better, and the equipment has also been significantly improved. First off, the V4 RS is 2.5 kg lighter than the standard Multistrada thanks to a titanium rear subframe, however the aluminum monocoque main frame is retained from the previous Multistradas.

The chassis is supported by a fully adjustable suspension system from Ohlins, which consists of a rear monoshock and front forks with titanium nitride coating. With the assistance of dual-channel ABS, 330mm twin front discs and a single 265mm rear disc perform stopping responsibilities. With Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires mounted on 17-inch forged Marchesini alloy wheels, the Multistrada V4 RS is propelled forward. Features of the Ducati Multistrada V4 RS

A plethora of electronic aids, such as four power modes (Full, High, Medium, and Low), four ride modes (Race, Sport, Touring, and Urban), traction control, wheelie control, cornering ABS, quickshifter, engine braking control, hill-hold control, radar-assisted adaptive cruise control, and blind spot detection, round out the list of features that complement the mechanicals.

A 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with navigation, screen mirroring, and specialized RS graphics are among the other noteworthy features available. A headlamp cornering feature is another innovation.

Ducati Multistrada V4 RS: Price and anticipated India release

Although the Multistrada V4 RS hasn't been identified as a limited-edition model, Ducati claims that it is a "numbered" edition, with a numbered plaque on the triple clamp for each bike. In January 2024, the track-based adventure tourer will be available for purchase in foreign markets. It costs US$37,995, which, tax-free, is equal to Rs. 31.58 lakh.

There is no word on when Ducati plans to introduce the Multistrada V4 RS in India. Should it be released, a price tag of up to Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom) is likely.
