Delhi : Triumph Motorcycles India just introduced the Speed 400 in India, and it will shortly introduce the Scrambler 400 X as well. On its social media pages, the company has teased the motorcycle's debut.

Now, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X is built on the same foundation as the Speed 400, but as its name implies, it leans more towards off-road riding. It has a circular headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a curved gasoline tank with knee grips, and a side-slung exhaust pipe with a unique heat shield design. It also sports a modern-retro style. A 19/17-inch wheel combination outfitted with dual-purpose tyres gives the Scrambler 400 X an additional boost in performance.

However, the same 398cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that powers the Speed 400 and produces 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm is used. It is paired with a slipper and assist clutch and a six-speed gearbox. It has features including dual-channel switchable ABS, full-LED lighting, traction control, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Triumph now offers the Scrambler 400 X in three colour combinations: Carnival Red with Phantom Black, Phantom Black with Silver Ice, and Matte Khaki Green with Fusion White.

Although pre-orders for the new Triumph Scrambler 400 X are currently available on the company's Indian website, the Speed 400's price of Rs 2.23 lakh is anticipated to be somewhat higher. We won't have to speculate for very long because its launch is in little over a week. Given this, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X will face off in India.

Pricing And Competitors for the Triumph Scrambler 400X

The Scrambler 400X is anticipated to cost Rs 2.50 lakh, compared to the Speed 400's ex-showroom price of Rs 2.33 lakh. The new 400X will compete against the Royal Enfield Scram 411 and 2023 Yezdi Scrambler whenever it is released.

At its new Chakan 2 factory in Pune, Maharashtra, Bajaj Auto produces the new Triumph motorbikes alongside KTM products. Out of a total manufacturing capacity of 25,000 units, Bajaj has originally set aside 5,000 units for Triumph and 20,000 units for KTM. Depending on demand, the Indian bike maker may give Triumph additional bikes.
