Delhi : Toyota has shown photographs of a brand-new concept electric crossover. The Urban SUV concept is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki eVX, which was unveiled earlier this year at the Auto EWxpo 2023 in February. The electric crossover concept is a preview of the Japanese automaker's future electric vehicles, and it is intended to play an important position in the brand's broader EV strategy.

Toyota Urban SUV bears resemblances to the Maruti Suzuki eVX concept from the Auto Expo 2023. In a proposed six-model dedicated BEV portfolio, the B-segment electric SUV concept will be the most small and accessible. The Urban SUV will first be presented in European countries, although it may eventually be sold in other worldwide markets, including India. This electric SUV rivalling the Volvo EX30 will be shown in full production form in the first half of 2024. Prior to that, the carmaker debuted it at Toyota's Kenshiki event in Brussels.

Toyota Urban SUV concept is an electric crossover that looks like a small SUV with powerful shoulders and a high driving position. According to the manufacturer, the prototype EV has maximised space in a modular interior that can be readily altered to prioritise passenger or cargo capacity as needed. It has sleek LED lighting, a flat panel in front, distinctive alloy wheels, door panel-integrated door handles, a sculpted hood and side profiles, a dual-tone theme with a black roof, and so on. The Toyota Urban SUV idea has dimensions of 4,300 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height.

Concerning the powertrain, Toyota has stated that the EV will be offered in two battery configurations to accommodate varied client preferences depending on driving range and accessibility. The electric crossover will be offered with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. However, no information on the range or other parameters has been released by the carmaker.
