Delhi : Yamaha Motor India is preparing to release two highly awaited motorcycles, the YZF-R3 and the MT-03. These mid-capacity powerhouses are scheduled to enter the Indian market just in time for the holiday season, with an official announcement coming in the coming weeks. The excitement is palpable, with dealerships already taking unofficial reservations and aficionados anxiously anticipating the arrival of these exhilarating rides.

During a special showcase for dealer partners in India, Yamaha YZF-R3 and MT-03 joined the likes of YZF-R7, MT-07, and MT-09. Photographs of the event were leaked, allowing aficionados to view them. The internet buzz was evident as the sleek aesthetics and performance specifications left everyone wanting more.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Yamaha YZF-R3 is a fully-faired beauty prepared to compete in the Indian motorcycle market with the likes of the KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300. The MT-03, on the other hand, is a streetfighter machine designed to compete with the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, and others. Both bikes are powered by a 321cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that produces 40.4 horsepower and 29.4 Nm.

A 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch handles gearbox chores. KYB upside-down front forks, monoshock rear suspension, a completely digital instrument cluster, an all-LED lighting system, and other luxury amenities are included on both motorcycles. They also include dual-channel ABS and single disc brakes on both wheels (298mm front and 220mm rear).

The forthcoming Yamaha R3 is estimated to be priced between Rs. 3.5 lakh and Rs. 4 lakh, while the MT-03 will be less expensive, likely between Rs. 3 lakh and Rs. 3.7 lakh (ex-showroom). Because both bikes will most likely be imported into our market as CBUs, the pricing may appear to be on the high side.

Yamaha India has even more in store for the future. According to sources, the Japanese two-wheeler maker will also introduce the high-performance YZF-R7 and the sporty MT-07. This is fantastic news for Yamaha fans and motorcycle aficionados who have been waiting for the company's middleweight challengers to arrive in the country.
