An overview of prices and features of the Mahindra XUV 400 electric SUV
Delhi : The XUV 400 electric SUV was just introduced to the Indian market by Mahindra & Mahindra. Mahindra is actively considering expanding its selection of electric vehicles. A new facility manufacturing electric vehicles has been approved for the firm in Pune. The corporation has also stated that it will spend Rs 10,000 crore over a period of seven to eight years to create a new line of BEVs. On the INGLO EV platform will be built the new EV line.
The company's website for automobile reservations was already up as of January 26. The EV is available in two varieties, EC and EL, with a booking minimum of Rs 21,000. Deliveries for the XUV400 EL and XUV400 EC are scheduled to start in March 2023 and the festival season of Diwali, respectively.
Price for the XUV400
Let's speak about the pricing now. The base EC costs Rs 15.99 lakh, while the top-of-the-line EL costs Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). These were the opening rates, which are valid for the first 5,000 reservations.
Specifications and battery capabilities of XUV400
A 34.5 kWh battery pack powers the EC version, which has a 375 Km stated range on a single charge. The 3.3kW AC charger that comes standard with the EC model may be upgraded to 7.2 kW. The EC model has a fabric interior, height-adjustable seatbelts, four-way front seats that can be adjusted in four different ways, a second row that can be split 60:40, drive and steering modes, a single-zone air conditioner, an electric ORVM that can be adjusted, halogen reflector headlamps, 16-inch steel wheels, and an infotainment system with connected car technology. ABS, EBD, all four disc brakes, reverse sensors, and dual front airbags are among the safety features.
Features of XUV 400
Let's now discuss the characteristics that the top-tier EL model has to offer. With the exception of single zone AC, an electric-adjustable ORVM, halogen reflector headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, and fabric seats, the EL version has all the equipment listed for the EC model. The leatherette seats, 7-inch infotainment system, electric sunroof with anti-pinch, height-adjustable driver seat, rear wiper and washer with demister, front and rear armrests with storage, passive keyless entry with push-button start, automatic headlamp and front wiper, smartwatch connectivity, electric adjustable and foldable ORVM, roof rails, projector headlamp with DRL, and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels are additional features of this variant. ABS, EBD, all four disc brakes, a reverse camera, and six airbags are among the safety features.
Powertrain and Charging ability of XUV400
The same PMSM electric motor, which generates 150 Ps of power and 310 Nm of torque, is used in both variations. According to Mahindra, the XUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in only 8.3 seconds, with a high speed cap of 150 kph. Additionally, the XUV400 has three driving modes: Fun, Fast, and Fearless. The e-SUV can be charged using a 50kW DC fast charger from 0% to 80% in 50 minutes. The electric SUV can also be charged using a 7.2kW in 6 hours and 30 minutes or a 3.3kW AC charger in 13 hours from 0% to 100%.
Colour availability and rivalry of XUV400
Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue with a dual tone option of Satin Copper are the five colour options for the Mahindra XUV400 SUV. The Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona EV are competitors of the XUV 400.
