Best-selling Indian cars in January 2022
New Delhi : The automobile industry is dealing with semi-conductor shortage, resulting in more waiting period for cars to reach their customers. As the demand for cars has been high, here is a list of cars which scored good numbers on sales figures in the first month of 2022.

1: Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Wagon R has been a hit car for Maruti Suzuki and continuing with its image, it has scored maximum number of sales in January 2022 with 20,334 units sold in the month. The CNG variant of the car is in more demand by the customers, credit to its unmatched fuel efficiency and reliable engine.
2: Maruti Suzuki Swift
When it comes to choosing a budget-friendly car with sporty looks and premium interiors, Maruti Suzuki Swift has been a preferred choice for people. The sporty-looking hatchback is on the second spot with 19,108 units sold in the month.
3: Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire
When space is required, people are often seen moving for Maruti Suzuki Dzire, instead of a hatchback. The company sold 14,967 units in the month to become the best-selling compact sedan and third most sold car of January 2022.
4: Tata Nexon
With confidence gained on build quality, Tata Motors has managed to create a niche and people who puts safety on top of their chart often go for Tata Nexon and it is showing in the sale numbers; the company has sold 13,816 units in the month.
5: Maruti Suzuki Alto
For budget buyers, Alto has been a famous choice. In January 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 12,342 units of the hatchback. The sales figures for the car have dropped as other hatchbacks are in the market with more features at almost similar price.
6: Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
This car has been an undisputed leader of seven-seater segment. The company sold 11,847 units in January 2022. The company is set to launch the facelift variant of the car in coming days.
7: Kia Seltos
Ever since it is launched, Kia Seltos has been a favourite choice of compact-SUV lovers. With 11,483 units sold in January month, it has been ranked above its sister-rival Hyundai Creta.
8: Hyundai Venue
Hyundai Venue is one premium looking mini-SUV that also offers one of the best features in its segment. Credit to Hyundai's reliable engines and good service network, the company has managed to sell 11,377 units of the car in January 2022.
9: Maruti Suzuki Eeco
With a drop in its sales, the car has slipped down on the list. Maruti Suzuki has managed to sell 10,528 in January 2022.
10: Tata Punch
Contrary to the hype it had created before the official launch, Tata Punch sales have not been as per expectations and the company managed to sell 10,027 in the previous month despite 5-star safety ratings.
