Mumbai : Cricketer Virat Kohli is among the great players across the world and he has been in the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad ever since the beginning of the Indian Premier League. In one of the recent RCB podcasts, he shared his struggle story to bat at the number three position.

Virat Kohli had joined Royal Challengers Bangalore soon after winning the under-19 World Cup.

Talking about his struggle, Virat Kohli said, "During the first three years, the team was packed with legendary players like Rahul Dravid, Ross Taylor and more; with them, I was not a choice to play at number three position."

"Since I was playing at the number 3 position in Team India, it was my strength and I was not getting a chance to play as per my capability due to lower batting order," Virat said in the podcast.

On one fine day, he was contacted by Ray Jennings and Siddharth Mallya, who told him that they are planning to build a whole new team with him as a choice to lead the squad.

Virat Kohli accepted the offer with only one condition – "I will play at No 3."

This story of Virat Kohli is a good example of staying calm and waiting for your turn to show your maximum capabilities. Even though RCB has played exceptionally well in some of the games, the Team is yet to taste victory in the grand finale of the IPL.
