Delhi : Hero Passion Plus, which was dropped after the BS6 transition, is ready to make a reappearance. A recent sighting of the motorcycle at what appeared to be a dealer gathering in India gave away its impending release.

Hero currently has two models in its lineup that go by the name "Passion." However, these 113cc options appear finer and more contemporary. On the other side, the Passion Plus will be a more durable workhorse with a smaller 97.2cc, air-cooled engine that is now only offered on the Splendour Plus. Although the Passion Plus's engine crankcase appears different, the tuning may not alter. This engine produces 7.91 bhp and 8.05 nm and is paired with a four-speed gearbox. The addition will be one visible change.

The introduction of the OBD2 system for conformity with phase 2 of BS6 norms will be one evident modification.

Although the next-generation model has minor tweaks that give it a new look, the overall stance and profile still closely resemble those of the earlier Passion Plus. The grab rail, tail lamp, and headlamp cowl have all been updated, and the white rim takes have been added to the black alloy wheels. The two colour options and corresponding decals that were noticed during the dealer event were identical to the paint schemes on the bike's earlier models.

Notably, this upgrade was released a few weeks after the Honda Shine 100, which will be the new Hero Passion Plus' main opponent, made its official debut. Although the Passion Plus's costs haven't been released yet, they will undoubtedly be higher than those of the Splendour Plus, which start at Rs 72,076 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
