Delhi : In 2022, Maruti Suzuki introduced two new SUVs: the Grand Vitara and the new Brezza. Buyers have responded well to these two SUVs, since each have waiting lists of up to 6 months. Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki now dominate the SUV market, which the Indo-Japanese carmaker hopes to change.

Maruti Suzuki is now prepared to introduce two new SUVs in the nation in 2023 in an effort to boost sales even further. The business will introduce the Jimny 5-door lifestyle SUV and a new SUV Coupe with the internal codename YTB. Both SUVs would be less than 4 metres long and less than Rs 10 lakh in price. This will be the third sub-4-meter SUV produced by the company.

At the 2023 Auto Expo in January, the Maruti YTB SUV Coupe and the Jimny 5-door lifestyle SUV are slated to make their international debuts. The Jimny LWB will be on sale by mid-2023, while the YTB SUV Coupe is anticipated to debut in the first quarter of 2023. In fact, Maruti Suzuki could potentially reveal the YTB SUV Coupe's pricing during the Indian auto show.

The lightweight heartect platform that supports the new Baleno hatchback will serve as the foundation for the YTB SUV Coupe. The Futuro-e concept, which was on show at the 2020 Auto Expo, served as inspiration for its design. The Grand Vitara's style is most likely shared by the front fascia, which has a sharply sculpted front with a larger grille and chrome bars, split headlamps with small LED DRLs, and the 3-block NEXA trademark. The new vehicle will have prominent wheel arches, black side panels, a roofline resembling that of a coupe, and higher suspension.

The Baleno hatchback will be able to use the same features and cabin layout. The new YTB SUV Coupe, also known as the Baleno Cross, will compete with the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Hyundai Venue/Kia Sonet through the NEXA dealership network. It will be powered by a mild hybrid 1.0-liter 3-cylinder Boosterjet petrol engine. A 1.2L Dualjet petrol engine may be available for the less expensive models.

The redesigned ladder-on-frame chassis will serve as the foundation for the Jimny 5-door. The new 5-door Jimny Sierra will have a wheelbase that is 300mm longer than the 3-door predecessor and will provide additional inside room in addition to a larger trunk. A 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine with 102 bhp and 130 Nm of torque is most likely to power it. Suzuki's mild hybrid technology, which increases fuel efficiency and lowers emissions, may help the engine. There will be a 4-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission available. Suzuki's AllGrip Pro 4WD system with a manual transfer case and low range will be standard on the SUV.
