Delhi : Beginning on April 1, 2023, Honda Motors India intends to raise the price of its Amaze compact sedan. According to a formal announcement, the Honda Amaze would see a price increase of up to Rs 12,000 as a result of growing production costs and the impending implementation of BS6 Phase 2 rules. Depending on the version, the price increase varies.

"We will increase Amaze prices by up to Rs 12,000 with effect from April 1 to factor in the growth in the production cost due to the forthcoming severe emission requirements," said Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Vehicles India, to a media agency.

Amaze Honda: Powertrain

The 1.2-liter gasoline engine under the bonnet of the RDE and E20 compliant Honda Amaze will produce 89 bhp and a maximum torque of 110 Nm. A 5-speed MT/CVT will be mated to the engine.

The WR-V, Jazz, and City 4th-gen are anticipated to be dropped from the manufacturer's lineup in order to meet BS6 Phase 2 standards. As a result, Honda Cars India will only have two vehicles in its India lineup: the Amaze and the City.

The business said in 2017 that it would shortly launch a new midsize SUV in the Indian market.

The new Honda SUV has been seen undergoing testing on Indian roads numerous times, and it may make its public debut soon. Once it is released, it will go up against vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, and Skoda Kushaq.
