Delhi : The MQB A0 IN platform has helped VW and Skoda gain ground in the Indian auto market. Based on this platform, a total of two sedans and two compact SUVs have been produced. VW Virtus and Taigun, Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. The Kushaq is the most popular model, and Skoda just debuted the Onyx Edition to further increase sales.

Unlike to the Monte Carlo Edition, which has all the bells and whistles, this variety is not the highest-spec version. In actuality, the Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition sits between the Ambition Classic and Active base trim levels. Pricing for the Kushaq ONYX Edition begin at Rs 12.4 lakh, ex-sh. Let's examine everything that is new.

Kushaq Onyx Edition by Skoda

The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition doesn't have many upgrades. There may be a new faux diffuser element and chrome grille surround, but these components were always available as standard fitment for the entire range. On the outside, we now have 16" steel wheel covers with a new design and prominent Onyx badging on the B-pillars.

The strong graphics that cover its doors are not typical of other variations. Together with its roof rails, Onyx Edition includes polygon-like elements all over this image, which may appear daring. Having saying that, not everyone will likely find this to their taste. Skoda has only given understated graphics around its C-Pillars before introducing Anniversary Edition.

There don't seem to be any internal changes at all. Skoda has kept its 2-spoke steering wheel, silver dashboard components with knurled designs, and black fabric upholstery. The interior of the Skoda may have included some of those polygonal components, particularly on the dashboard, but that isn't the case.

Details and Features for the Kushaq ONYX Edition 2023

The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition comes with a number of features, including an 8" touchscreen infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and more. It also has LED projector headlights, fog lights, roof rails, wheel covers, a rear washer wiper, a rear defogger, remote locking, and more.

It has automated climate control when compared to the standard Active variation, and it has an infotainment system when compared to the Active Peace Edition. The Skoda Kushaq Onyx Edition's powertrain is anticipated to be a single 1.0L 3-cylinder TSI engine with 115 bhp and 175 Nm of torque. This kit is not likely to have a 6-speed AT.

Those who compete with the new Kushaq Onyx

Recently, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara overtook Kia Seltos in sales for the first time in the compact SUV segment. Both the Creta and Seltos models are getting facelifts, which will improve their position in this market. With sales of between 1.8K and 2K units per month, Kushaq frequently behind Toyota Hyryder.

Skoda and Volkswagen can increase their market share significantly by offering more variants that are tailored for particular customer segments. The fact that they are the only company in this segment to offer a 5-star crash rating in accordance with updated GNCAP testing procedures strengthens (literally) their argument.
