Delhi : On June 6, the renowned Japanese automaker Honda will finally present its much-anticipated mid-size SUV, Elevate. The business also revealed the date of the Elevate's launch and teased it with a video showing the vehicle from above. The teaser indicates that the Elevate will have a single-pane sunroof and be as long as its Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos class competitors.

It is clear from the image that the Honda Elevate will have a flattish hood and two prominent body lines. It looks to feature flat sides and svelte LED headlights. The SUV's back will be slightly upright and have modern LED taillamps. The Honda Elevate will also have silver roof rails and a shark fin antenna on top.

The single-pane glass electric sunroof is one of the most notable disclosures from this teaser image. The majority of Elevate's top competitors already feature bigger panoramic sunroofs, including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. A panoramic sunroof will be included in the next facelift of the Kia Seltos, another important Elevate competitor.

From the outside, there aren't many further features to be seen, but we can anticipate the Honda Elevate to have genuine crossover SUV style with softer body creases and lines. The SUV will follow Honda's straightforward yet elegant design language rather than having a highly aggressive look.

There isn't much information available about the inside, but we can expect the renowned Honda craftsmanship and materials, as well as the most recent technology innovations. The vehicle is anticipated to include amenities including a touchscreen infotainment system, connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automated climate control, cruise control, and other safety measures.

The 1.5-liter petrol engine that powers the Honda City mid-size car and generates 121 PS and 150 Nm of torque is anticipated to be made available for the Honda Elevate as part of its drivetrain. According to reports, Honda may modify the power characteristics to better fit the SUV form factor. Depending on the version, the gearbox choices will likely be the same as the Honda City, with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT gearbox. The SUV will also be equipped with a number of safety features, such as Honda's LaneWatch technology, twin airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rearview camera.

After the debut, the vehicle may also get a hybrid powertrain sourced from the City e:HEV, according to rumours. It may also receive a turbo-petrol engine. Unfortunately, this SUV won't have a diesel engine because Honda Cars India has stopped making diesel engines in India.

Honda is anticipated to price the release of this model between Rs 12 and Rs 19 lakh. When it debuts, it will face up against a number of other mid-size SUV leaders, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
