Delhi : It is a significant product in terms of the ripple impact on the broader Maruti brand. "Jimny has a legacy as an accomplished SUV, so that will definitely help us in our overall SUV push in the country," he told reporters. The five-door vehicle was developed with 960 crore rupees of investment from Maruti. In 199 different nations and territories, Suzuki has sold more than 3.2 million Jimny cars.

The three-door variant is offered by the carmaker across the world. It is the first time a five-door variant has been. In May, the Hyundai Creta outsold competitors including the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Tata Punch to become the most popular SUV on the Indian market.

With 334,802 units sold in May, the passenger vehicle (PV) sector had its best-ever domestic performance, growing by 13.49% year over year (y-o-y). The percentage of the SUV segment in the month's total domestic PV wholesales reached 47%.

14,449 units of the Hyundai Creta were sold in May. Not only was it the best-selling mid-size SUV, but it also dominated the whole SUV market. The well-known Tata Nexon then entered the scene, selling 14,423 units in May on the domestic market. 

The difference in wholesale prices between the Tata Nexon and the Hyundai Creta was a negligible 26 units. 13,398 units were sold of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, while 11,124 units of the Tata Punch were bought.
