Delhi : In India, the market for electric vehicles is steadily expanding. Although there are now just a few inexpensive electric vehicle alternatives available in the nation, such the Tata Tiago.ev and the Citroen e-C3, owners will soon have a new option thanks to the three-door MG Comet EV. The MG Comet EV will reportedly make its formal debut in India on April 19.

After the ZS EV, the second-highest selling electric vehicle in India after Tata Motors' Nexon EV, the Comet EV will be MG Motor India's second electric model.

Expected specifications : MG Comet EV

The MG Comet EV is expected to measure 2,974mm long, 1,631mm height, and 1,505mm broad in terms of specifications. 2,010 mm long will be the wheelbase. A 25kWh battery will be paired with a 50kW motor in the four-seat electric vehicle. On a single charge, the range may be in the region of 250 to 300 km. We will have to wait for an official announcement before learning the precise technical details.

Infotainment system : MG Comet EV

Recently, MG unveiled the Comet EV's twin-spoke multi-function steering wheel, which was inspired by the Apple iPod. The automaker also provided a sneak peek at more inside elements, such as the twin display setup with a 10.25-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The Comet EV will undoubtedly be a connected vehicle, like current MG vehicles.

Despite having a rather tiny appearance based on the proportions, the Comet EV's external design is quite distinctive. The new-generation purchasers that MG is aiming at with the Comet EV, though, aren't exactly accustomed to driving three-door vehicles. Additionally, the Wuling Air EV, which is offered in the Indonesian market, has a similar appearance to the Comet EV.

Expected cost price : MG Comet EV

The MG Comet EV is anticipated to cost between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It will compete with the Citroen e-C3 and the Tata Tiago Ev.
