Jeep India begins production of Compass Trailhawk

New Delhi : American carmaker brand Jeep has started manufacturing its much talked Compass Trailhawk SUV at the FCA manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon, reports Autocar India.

According to the report, the car is being manufactured only for the export markets. The company currently exports made-in-India Compass SUV to several international markets like Japan and Australia.

The company had started manufacturing Jeep Compass in India in June 2017. Now, they have decided to produce the brand new variant Compass Trailhawk.

The new version of Compass Tailhawk has been given some cosmetic and mechanical updates to make it more appealing in the international markets.

The front end of the Compass Trailhawk gets a newly designed bumper with rugged looking skid plate.

The rear end of the new variant of the SUV also gets the same treatment with redesigned bumper with skid plates.

Jeep India is upgrading the vehicle to make it more hitting as an off roader, this is one of the prime reasons its ground clearance has been uplifted by nothing less than 20mm.

Currently, the car is being manufactured only with the petrol motor but the company has assured that soon diesel engine will also be launched in coming months.
