Mahindra Thar 4X2 price increase: New price list revealed

Delhi : Mahindra released the Thar 4X2 in January 2023 at an attractive starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) (ex-showroom). As confirmed by the dealers, the Mahindra Thar 4X2 has now experienced its first price increase of Rs 50,000 since its launch. Here is the updated Thar 4X2 price list.

Mahindra Thar 4X2: Updated costs

There are three versions of the Mahindra Thar RWD. Price-wise, the LX RWD Diesel MT trim is now Rs 50,000 more expensive than the AW (O) RWD Diesel MT model. The cost of the LX RWD Petrol AT version is also unaltered.

Mahindra has raised the price of the Thar 4X2 because it is now available with an RDE-compliant 1.5-liter diesel engine.

The Mahindra Thar 4X2 now ranges in price from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.49 lakh. Mahindra Thar 4X4 models range in price from Rs 13.59 lakh to Rs 16.49 lakh. Everything is priced ex-showroom.

Mahindra Thar 4X2: Engine

The same 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces a maximum torque of 300 Nm and a peak output of 117 horsepower, powers the Mahindra Thar 4X2. An automatic transmission with six speeds is paired with the engine. A 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 152 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque is the second engine option. There is a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox available.
