Delhi : Fronx and the Jimny, two eagerly anticipated vehicles from Maruti Suzuki, will go on sale this year. The new Fronx was on display by the brand at the 2023 Auto Fair, and it will go on sale by mid-April. The new Fronx is based on the Baleno hatchback and will be offered through Maruti Suzuki's Nexa dealership network.

The all-new Grand Vitara, which is currently on the Indian market, appears to have had a significant influence on the front end of the all-new Fronx. Yet, the Baleno's features can be seen in great detail in the vehicle's silhouette. The Fronx's massive grille is framed by a long strip of chrome on the front end. The upright front and rear fascias of the Fronx contribute to its aerodynamic design, according to Maruti Suzuki.

Many features, including the ORVMs, are shared by the Baleno and the Fronx. Both vehicles have squared-off wheel arches, giving them a powerful appearance. In contrast, the Fronx has a significantly higher ground clearance than the Baleno, though Maruti Suzuki hasn't yet disclosed the Fronx's official ground clearance. The Fronx can go over any surface because to its capability.

The all-new Fronx has faux bumper guards on the front and back, LED taillights at the back, and a lightbar connected to them. Maruti Suzuki worked hard to give the Fronx a chiselled and tough exterior, and it was successful. The vehicle will only be offered for sale through Nexa’s premium dealerships.

Cabin with strong Baleno influences

The dual-tone inside of the brand-new Fronx features a steering wheel, infotainment system, and instrument cluster that are reminiscent of those in the Baleno. Together with other features, the car has imitation leather interior and a wireless car charger. The 9.0-inch free-floating SmartPlay infotainment system has connectivity features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Fronx also has six airbags, steering-mounted controls, an automatic climate control system, and other similar features to the Baleno. In actuality, the majority of the Fronx's features are also featured in the Baleno hatchback.

With the Fronx, Maruti Suzuki intends to offer both a 1.0-liter Boosterjet and a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine. After being dropped from the Baleno RS, the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine is making a comeback on the Indian market. It has a maximum power output of 100.06 PS and a maximum torque output of 147.6 Nm at 5,500 rpm.

The 1.2-liter K-Series engine, on the other hand, has a maximum power and torque capacity of 89.73 PS and 113 Nm, respectively. A 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and a 5-speed manual transmission will both be available from Maruti Suzuki.
