New Delhi : Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its upcoming SUV Grand Vitara ahead of its launch that is slated to hit the market this year. This will be India's most fuel-efficient SUV till date.

The company claims that it also has the biggest panoramic sunroof in the segment till date. The SUV shares platform with Toyota's Hyryder.

It has been equipped with smart interiors, fitted with a nine-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and a Head-Up Display (HUD). It will also be Maruti's first car that will have full digital instrument cluster.

Grand Vitara has been powered with a powerful 1.5 litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid systems. It will come with a five-speed manual transmission, a six-speed manual unit, and an e-CVT unit.

The Maruti Grand Vitara car will be offered in six variant options - Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The automatic transmission will be offered in the Zeta and Alpha trims while AllGrip AWD is only available with the MT option in the Zeta and Alpha trim levels. The 1.5-litre hybrid engine option with e-CVT is being offered in the new Alpha+ and Zeta+ trim levels only.
