New Delhi : Two days after the MPs and MLAs casted their votes to elect the 15th President of India, the counting of votes will be done on July 21. It will be a battle between Droupadi Murmu and Yashwant Sinha to claim the prestigious position.

Thursday as the counting of votes for the prestigious presidential elections will commence at 11 AM today.

Over 99 per cent of MPs and MLAs had casted their votes in the ballet on Monday. However, 8 MPs, including BJP MPs Sunny Deol and Sanjay Dhotre, were among those who missed casting their votes.

According to reports, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be organising a road show ‘Abhinandan Yatra’ in the national capital to celebrate the likely victory of Draupadi Murmu.

Outgoing President Ramnath Kovind's tenure will end on July 24 and the new President will replace him on July 25.
