Delhi : After the first quarter of the year, many manufacturers are preparing to introduce their newest models in a variety of segments. In April 2023, Honda Cars India and Citroen plan to launch two brand-new vehicles in the fiercely competitive midsize SUV segment, which is presently dominated by the Hyundai Creta. In the approaching months, Kia India will also release a mid-life update for the Seltos SUV. An overview of the new SUVs that will shortly be available is listed below.

Modern Kia Seltos

By the middle of 2023, Kia intends to release the Seltos in a redesigned form. The SUV's exterior, interior, and drivetrain will all see major modifications. A more potent 1.5L turbo-petrol engine will take the position of the current 120bhp, 1.4L turbo-petrol engine, and is anticipated to produce 160bhp and 253Nm of torque. There will be manual and automated gearbox options for the new engine. The current 115 bhp, 1.5 L petrol and 115 bhp, 1.5 L turbo diesel motors will also be available in the Seltos. A redesigned digital instrument cluster and an ADAS suite will also be included in the 2023 Kia Seltos.

C3 Aircross Citroen

Aircross, a forthcoming product for the Indian market, is scheduled to make its formal introduction on April 27, 2023. The model will immediately compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara as part of the company's C-Cubed programme. It will be offered in 5- and 7-seater versions and is anticipated to be about 4.2 metres in length. The C3 Aircross will be built on the same CMP modular chassis as the C3 hatchback and may be equipped with a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that has a maximum output of 110 bhp and a maximum torque of 190 Nm. The new midsize SUV will be distinct from the C3 hatchback with a more upright stance, SUV-inspired design features, and a newly designed rear quarter.

New SUV from Honda with ADAS technology In June 2023, Honda plans to debut its new midsize SUV. Based on the City's platform, this Made-for-India variant will incorporate styling cues from Honda's international SUV lineup. The 1.5-liter, 121bhp iVTEC petrol engine, which will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT transmission, is anticipated to power the SUV. Later on, a potent hybrid model with the 1.5-liter Atkinson Cycle petrol hybrid engine with 126 bhp from the City car is anticipated to be released. The interior of Honda's SUV is still a mystery, but rumours suggest that it will have ADAS technology and other features. The Hyundai Creta will be the new SUV's main rival.
