Delhi : The new 1.5L turbo GDi petrol engine for the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar SUV has been unveiled in the nation. It goes without saying that the new powertrain is prepared for E20 gasoline and RDE compliance. The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar bookings have commenced from today at the brand's Signature shops in India as well as online for a token payment of Rs 25,000.

In addition, Hyundai changed the appearance of the 2023 Alcazar's front grille and added a "ALCAZAR" symbol to the modified puddle lamp logo. Also, the new SUV will come equipped with six airbags as a standard safety feature. Idle Stop & Go will also come standard on the 2023 Hyundai Alcazar facelift.

Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., Mr. Tarun Garg, commented on the announcement, saying, "As we continue to redefine customer experiences across our model range, we are glad to introduce Hyundai ALCAZAR with a benchmark-defining new turbo petrol engine that will meet aspirations of our most beloved customers. With this new age mobility solution, we have also improved the Hyundai ALCAZAR's design and added new technologies to accentuate Grand Experiences.

Speaking of the new 1.5L petrol engine, it will have the highest torque of 253 Nm between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm and the highest power of 157 bhp at 5,500 rpm. It will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with respective fuel economy ratings of 17.5 and 18 kilometres per gallon. The Hyundai Alcazar is already available with a 1.5L CRDi diesel engine that complies with RDE standards. It produces 250 Nm between 1,500 and 2,750 rpm and 114 horsepower at 4,000 rpm.

The new 1.5L petrol engine will have a maximum output of 157 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 253 Nm between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. Both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with corresponding mileage ratings of 17.5 and 18 kilometres per gallon will be offered. The RDE-compliant 1.5L CRDi diesel engine found in the Hyundai Alcazar already produces 250 Nm between 1,500 and 2,750 rpm and 114 horsepower at 4,000 rpm.

Also, we share the government's commitment to developing cleaner transportation solutions, and the new 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol powertrain will be RDE compliant as well as E20 fuel ready, according to Garg.
