Delhi : Tata Motors is taking the Nexon EV into the contemporary day with its first facelift. It shares body panels with the ICE Nexon makeover that was introduced yesterday. As evidenced by the most recent teaser, Tata is delivering the Nexon EV more visual oomph than the Nexon ICE. Now it is known as Nexon.ev. On September 7, Tata will reveal the 2023 Nexon EV, and on September 14, the 2023 Nexon will also be launched.

Tata Nexon EV 2023 Teased

The Nexon EV is the automobile that made electric vehicles popular in India. India had only encountered a few electric vehicles up to that point, and they left much to be desired in terms of performance, appeal, and range. One may argue that Nexon EV was responsible for completely altering the EV market in India and popularizing the genre.

The Nexon EV will have a similar design theme to the ICE version that was presented yesterday, which was inspired by the Curvv idea. This is hardly shocking because the current Nexon EV and its ICE equivalent virtually exactly mimicked each other's designs. Tata is introducing cosmetic distinctions between the Nexon ICE and EV variants, though.

The new LED DRL pattern is the visible manifestation of this shift. The LED DRLs in the ICE Nexon facelift have a split design. They aren't related in this sense. However, Nexon EV will have front LED DRLs with a linked design. The main cosmetic distinction between the Nexon ICE and EV models will be this.

These DRLs also do dynamic tasks that start in the center and go outward in all directions. LED tail lights also have a dynamic function, as indicated by the teaser. A kind of welcoming feature that is found in considerably more expensive autos. This could just be a trick of the eye, but it greatly raises the premium quotient.

What to anticipate with the Nexon EV facelift?

Nexon EV facelift will be electrically and mechanically identical to the existing generation. Along with their respective motor configurations, the same 30.2 kWh and 40.5 kWh battery pack options for the Prime and Max models will remain in service. Range statistics of 312 km with Prime and 453 km Max are also anticipated to remain unchanged.

However, the trim lineup will undergo a change. comparable to its ICE equivalent. This means that Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max will now be known as Nexon EV MR (Medium Range) and Nexon EV LR (Long Range), respectively. similar to the lineup from Tiago EV. In addition to DRLs up front, the Nexon EV can have various wheel designs.

Both the MR and LR trim levels will be in line with Tata's ICE Nexon facelift's Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless options. with S and + variations that include optional kits and sunroofs, respectively. The updated HVAC controls, 10.25" touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25" completely digital and programmable instrument display, two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo, and ventilated front seats will be comparable to those found in the ICE Nexon.
